Everyone involved in Project SNOWstorm is donating their time and expertise. You can help with a tax-deductible donation to help us with the purchase of transmitters, DNA and toxicology analyses and other essential work. Every dollar we raise will go directly into our research.

You can help us better understand snowy owl irruptions like the one taking place this winter.

Because no one foresaw this event, there wasn’t time to secure funding through traditional means. With emergency funding from the RJM Foundation, we were able to deploy our first transmitters in mid-December.

But for everything else — additional transmitters, toxicology screenings of blood and tissue samples, professional necropsies of dead snowy owls, stable isotope and genetic analyses and much more — we need your help.

Your tax-deductible gift through the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art will help us explore this once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. And all of your gift will go straight into the research — no one taking part in Project SNOWstorm is drawing a salary or stipend for their participation. Make a donation online, or you can mail a check directly to the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art, 176 Water Company Rd., Millersburg PA 17061. Please indicate “Project SNOWstorm” on the check.
