Charlotte England and Malcolm Wilson

Drew Weber

Charlotte England and Malcolm Wilson met in Africa in 2014 and have been banding raptors together in Africa, Canada and the U.S. ever since.

Charlotte is a veterinary technician and her favorite time is winter road trapping for raptors when she can connect with her favorite snowy owls, as she has been doing for the past 12 years as a licensed bander. A native of Toronto, she is qualified to fit satellite transmitters on three raptor species including broad-winged hawks; she and Malcolm have caught more than 400 of them since 2018 in collaboration with Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.

Malcolm is originally from the U.K. and has spent 30 years in Africa working with birds of prey, as well as running his own company facilitating guide training workshops. He now lives in Toronto with Charlotte.
