We’re humbled and grateful beyond words for the support everyone’s extended to Project SNOWstorm again this winter. That’s taken many forms, but especially the over-the-top support for our Indiegogo campaign, which broke its goal of $15,000 last week and has continued to grow. Thank you all very, very much. Your help makes what we do possible.

Those donations allow us to buy transmitters, and to pay for the less glamorous but equally important work that takes place in the lab and behind the scenes — conducting necropsies on snowy owls that have been found dead, testing tissue samples for environmental contaminants, peering into the DNA of snowy owl populations, teasing out stable chemical isotopes that tells about their origins and diet, and much, much more.

As always, all donations to Project SNOWstorm are fully tax-deductible, through our 501 (c)(3) partner, the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art in Pennsylvania. And as always, every penny goes into the research, not overhead or salaries. (We’re all volunteers.)
