We know this is the time when we’re all bombarded with requests for year-end donations, and it’s easy to tune them all out. We hope, however, that if you haven’t yet made a contribution to Project SNOWstorm this season (and maybe even if you have), you’ll consider making a gift now.

All donations to SNOWstorm are fully tax-deductible under U.S. law, through our institutional home at the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art in central Pennsylvania, a 501c3 nonprofit. We are funded entirely by small donations from you, and the dozens of scientists, banders, researchers and veterinarians on our team donate their time so we can make the fullest possible use of every penny you entrust to us.

Your gift allows us to do so much — to purchase telemetry units to track snowy owls in southern Canada and the United States; to collaborate with our research partners in studying juvenile and breeding adult snowies in the Arctic; to work with airport authorities to find better ways to keep owls and airplanes apart; and to undertake the rigorous and expensive lab work of understanding the health and toxin risks that snowy owls face.

Your gift also allows us to share all of what we do with a wide and diverse public, from middle and high schoolers who use our raw data for science projects, to conservation professionals who need this information to better preserve snowy owls in a changing world, to average folks who are simply thrilled to immerse themselves in the lives of these fascinating birds through our research.

Every gift matters, and we’re grateful for every single one. From all of us at Project SNOWtsorm, thank you.

We are raising $15,000 this year for Snowy Owl research.

We're continuing our work this winter, learning more about these majestic Arctic predators, but we can't do it without your help. Your donation to Project SNOWstorm is tax-deductible through our institutional home, the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art in Pennsylvania, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
