Coddington is an adult male tagged Jan. 3, 2019,  in the Buena Vista grasslands of central Wisconsin by Gene Jacobs. His transmitter, originally deployed on Arlington in 2018, was recovered and refurbished after Arlington was killed by a vehicle in April 2018 in Minnesota. It was generously underwritten by the Madison Audubon Society, and continues to pay research dividends. Coddington is the fifth snowy owl tracked in the famous Buena Vista grasslands, giving us insights into how owls of different ages and sexes make use of the same habitat.
